Tesla's Giga Texas Boasts Over 50 Cybertrucks in Latest Production Ramp Up
Tesla's manufacturing powerhouse in Austin, Texas, is abuzz with activity as the company ramps up production of its highly anticipated Cybertruck. In a recent development captured on video by Brad Sloan and shared on YouTube, the Gigafactory showcased over 50 Cybertruck units in a single lot over the weekend, hinting at a seamless production acceleration.
The footage, taken on Saturday, offered a glimpse of the Cybertrucks lined up across Tesla's outbound lot and testing and calibration area. With an additional 20 to 30 units spotted in another section, this display surpasses previous sightings, indicating significant progress in Tesla's production endeavors.
While specific production figures remain undisclosed, the sight of over 50 Cybertrucks underscores Tesla's determined push towards achieving full-scale manufacturing capabilities. Analysts predict that despite the remarkable momentum, it may take an additional 12 to 18 months to reach optimal production levels from the start of operations.
Beyond the Cybertruck showcase, the video also unveiled other notable developments within the factory premises, including a multitude of vehicle castings near the plant and the ongoing construction of a 64-stall Supercharger station.
Tesla's journey in scaling up Cybertruck production began with its inaugural delivery event in late November, followed by a gradual expansion of deliveries to eager customers. Recent sightings of the electric pickup in China and Japan underscore Tesla's global ambitions and the growing demand for its innovative vehicles.
